🛒 Ingredients:

For the Nachos:

  • 1 bag (10-12 oz) tortilla chips

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup black beans (drained and rinsed)

  • ½ cup diced tomatoes

  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños

  • ½ cup diced red onions

  • ½ cup chopped cilantro

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup guacamole

  • ½ cup sliced black olives

  • ¼ cup pickled red onions (optional)

  • 3 tbsp Homer Hot Sauce (plus more for drizzling!)

🔥 Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Meat

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes).

  2. Drain excess grease, then add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the meat evenly.

  3. Pour in ½ cup water and let simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. Stir in 2 tbsp of Homer Hot Sauce for an extra burst of heat. Set aside.

Step 2: Layer the Nachos

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out half the tortilla chips.

  3. Sprinkle half the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the chips.

  4. Add half the seasoned beef, black beans, and jalapeños.

  5. Repeat with a second layer of chips, cheese, beef, and black beans.

Step 3: Bake to Perfection

  1. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Step 4: Top It Off & Serve

  1. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle 1 tbsp of Homer Hot Sauce over the nachos.

  2. Add fresh toppings: diced tomatoes, red onions, chopped cilantro, pickled red onions, olives, sour cream, and guacamole.

  3. For an extra spicy kick, drizzle more Homer Hot Sauce to taste!

🏆 Game-Changer Tip:

For extra-cheesy nachos, broil for 1-2 minutes after baking. Just keep an eye on them so they don’t burn!
